William W. Connors
William W. Connors (you can call him “Bill”, if you like) began designing games professionally in the mid-1980s, working as a freelancer for TSR, GDW, and a handful of other companies with 3-letter names. In 1989, he joined the staff at TSR (and later Wizards of the Coast) where he soon became one of the principle designers of the fantasy-horror Ravenloft line. While at TSR/WOTC he also contributed to the core AD&D, basic D&D (Known World/Mystara), Dark Sun, Forgotten Realms, and Marvel Superheroes lines. He has designed several innovative role-playing systems, including the 1890s Ravenloft-variant, Masque of the Red Death, and the critically acclaimed SAGA system used for both the Dragonlance: Fifth Age setting and Wizards of the Coast’s version of the Marvel Superheroes game.
Bill has written numerous short stories and one novel (which he will NEVER do again because it was way more work than he thought it would be). After leaving TSR/WOTC, he worked in a freelance or consulting capacity for companies like FASA, Mayfair Games, and even the Pleasant Company (creators of the American Girl line of dolls). His work for id Software earned him a well-deserved reputation as “the Worst Quake Player in the World.” He currently works as a graphic designer, digital artist, and media director.
In addition to gaming, Bill is a fan of baseball (including the minor and independent leagues) and rugby union (Go All Blacks!). His turn-ons include old time radio, classic horror movies, and both pulp and hard science fiction. He prefers Universal Monsters over Hammer Films, DC Comics over Marvel, the National League over the American League, and thinks every version of Star Trek after TOS/TAS is not worth watching. He has never seen a UFO.
A life-long cat person who (for some reason) currently has two dogs and an African gray parrot, Bill lives near Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, with his wife, Kathryn. His two sons were raised on gaming and now continue the family tradition with their amazing wives. He recently welcomed his first grandson into the world, and has already given him his first set of dice.

You play as competing mafia families who are vying for economic control of the organized crime networks of New York City, deploying your thugs, your don, your wife, and your heir on the board to shake down businesses and engage in area-control turf wars.
Money, rackets, contracts, and special advantages (such as the union boss) are represented by cards in your hand, and your hand size is limited, with you choosing which extra cards to pay tribute to the don at the end of each of the five rounds. At the end of the game, though, cash is all that matters, and whoever has the most money wins.

7pm-9pm
With the driving of the golden spike in 1869, the first transcontinental railroad was completed in the United States — but really it was only the beginning of a rapid expansion of railways that would crisscross the entire country.
In Whistle Stop, you make your way west across the country, using your fledgling railroad company to build routes, pick up valuable cargo, and deliver needed goods to growing towns, creating a network of whistle stops that you and your competitors can leverage as you continue to expand your networks. Along the way, you gain shares in other railroads and watch your reputation soar with each successful delivery before making a final push to complete long hauls to the boom towns of the West.
This design is a new twist on pick-up-and-deliver games. As players move their trains west and pick up goods, they can deliver those goods to small towns to gain shares in railroads, or hold on to them for a bigger payout when they reach the west coast. At the same time, they try to optimize their actions (and gain extra ones), lay down new track tiles, block the other players, gather and use valuable whistles for special moves and abilities, and carefully manage their coal resources.
Delve - Board Game

When a room or corridor is completed, Delvers must fight for their share of the gold and treasure. But if a player manages to complete a room alone, they must overcome dangerous encounters before collecting their riches.
Delve combines tile-laying and an immersive narrative experience in a new and exciting way.

CO2 - Board Game
Stronghold Games
GM: Douglas Schehl

In the 1970s, the governments of the world faced unprecedented demand for energy, and polluting power plants were built everywhere in order to meet that demand. Year after year, the pollution they generate increases, and nobody has done anything to reduce it. Now, the impact of this pollution has become too great, and humanity is starting to realize that we must meet our energy demands through clean sources of energy. Companies with expertise in clean, sustainable energy are called in to propose projects that will provide the required energy without polluting the environment. Regional governments are eager to fund these projects, and to invest in their implementation.
If the pollution isn't stopped, it's game over for all of us.
In the game CO₂, each player is the CEO of an energy company responding to government requests for new, green power plants. The goal is to stop the increase of pollution, while meeting the rising demand for sustainable energy — and of course profiting from doing so. You will need enough expertise, money, and resources to build these clean power plants. Energy summits will promote global awareness, and allow companies to share a little of their expertise, while learning still more from others.
In CO₂, each region starts with a certain number of Carbon Emissions Permits (CEPs) at its disposal. These CEPs are granted by the United Nations, and they must be spent whenever the region needs to install the energy infrastructure for a project, or to construct a fossil fuel power plant. CEPs can be bought and sold on a market, and their price fluctuates throughout the game. You will want to try to maintain control over the CEPs.
Money, CEPs, Green Power Plants that you've built, UN Goals you've completed, Company Goals you've met, and Expertise you've gained all give you Victory Points (VPs), which represent your Company's reputation – and having the best reputation is the goal of the game ... in addition to saving the planet, of course.

Hotshots - Board Game
Fireside Games
GM: Michele Maakestad
4 Player slots available
2pm-4pm
In the cooperative, press-your-luck game Hotshots, crews of 1 to 4 players take on the roles of wildfire fighters — crew boss, spotter, swamper, and sawyer — with special abilities, then roll dice on burning terrain tiles to match the combinations shown on those tiles. The more faces they roll, the better they fight the fire. Players can choose to cut firebreaks, which protect tiles from embers blown by wind gusts, or push their luck to reduce flames and possibly even generate reward tokens. If players bust and fail to match at least three of the six symbols on the tile, the fire grows. Another option is to maneuver vehicles — air tanker, helicopter, and brush rig — to save the forest.
Flame tokens are added at the end of each player's turn by the draw of a fire card, which can bring about light or strong wind gusts, increase the strength of the flames on certain tiles, and start fires. Too many flame tokens will cause a tile to scorch and be lost. Losing a terrain tile could also affect the game play. Some tiles are tied to crewmembers' special abilities, while others help the firefighters, and still others cause the fire to spread in unique ways. If eight tiles scorch or the fire camp scorches, the game is over and the forest is lost — but if the intrepid crew can extinguish the fire, the team wins together.
The press-your-luck mechanism with ratcheting rewards creates tension, and the variety of ways to fight the fire makes for interesting choices. The modular tile layout and fire cards bring high replayability to the game, and the acrylic flame tokens provide an enticing table presence.

A group of visitors have decided to spend the night in a quiet bed and breakfast not too far from the bustling city. The old house seems quaint, welcoming, and above all, comforting. However there are things that start to raise an eyebrow, small at first, but increasingly noticeable as the night marches on. You could have sworn you didn’t lock the door on your way out, where was the bathroom again? It wasn’t down this hallway, you’re pretty sure you didn’t know this hallway existed, and what about those marble stairs down into the basement… is that music?

CO2 - Board Game
Stronghold Games

When a room or corridor is completed, Delvers must fight for their share of the gold and treasure. But if a player manages to complete a room alone, they must overcome dangerous encounters before collecting their riches.
Delve combines tile-laying and an immersive narrative experience in a new and exciting way.
